Steve and John have been together 33 years and have the rare unconditional love that is completely beautiful.

I wish there was some way to make sense of it.

Argh! The lack of marriage equality in this State means that a partner of 33 years cannot sign certain documents at the funeral home. A relative must sign. How truly heartwrenching.

Fuck cancer. I hate it. And I really hate that Steve doesn't have the same spousal rights as he should. I just don't understand why there's such an argument against marriage for all.
