Friday 3-point update →[More:]
1. I had a great flight home - there was nobody in the seat next to me, so I could spread out and managed to get some sleep. I took my own food on the plane - a huge box of fruit salad that cost $5 from a Korean store in Queens, and which contained about two pounds of assorted yummy fruit, all ready to eat. Definitely a better choice than the microwaved plane food.
2. Lucy is really glad to see me, and after walking round the flat meowing loudly (telling me off for leaving her, I think) she won't leave me alone now. But I need to clip her nails, because she wants to do 'tready-paws' on me and her nails are like needles.
3. I feel so very lucky to have such wonderful friends who (astonishingly to me) welcome me into their homes and their hearts. I got to see Eideteker at his improv show, I went running with Gaspode, one night TPS, Stynxno and I babysat Gaspode's kid, a gang of us had a great Sunday lunch in Astoria, I went to a
fabulous 'secret restaurant' with rmless2, I had dinner at the Plaza Hotel, I went to the theatre with TrishaLynn to see a show that
none of my London theatre friends have seen (!), I ate the best burnt ends BBQ sandwich I've ever tasted, I hung out with lots of NY friends, both bunnies and non-bunnies, and some time over the weekend (jetlag permitting) I'll try and get my photos up online. I took lots of pictures of things off the beaten track, quirky buildings and stuff like that, and a couple of times as I took a picture I thought "BoringPostcards will love this one!"
So, how's your Friday looking?
