Amalia Pica's Venn Diagram - In the 1970s in Argentina, Venn diagrams were banned from primary school curricula as they were considered to encourage subversive thought. [More:]
I want to know more about this, but can find no further information online. Amalia Pica's piece has "google bombed" my attempts to (easily) find more information.
Digging around google trying slightly different keywords turns up this tumblr entry with the artist's original description, which mentions "group theory and venn diagrams were banned" (which makes slightly more sense than just diagrams).

Searching "argentina" dictatorship "set theory" (the more common name for group theory) turns up this lengthy journal entry which gives you all the context you could possibly want.

With all the stuff coming out from the Freedom of Information Act and reading about South America back then, all I can think is genocide and dictatorships.
