I'm not worth very many pigs any more.

What does "dinky-die" signify? In context I'm guessing "regular" or "modern" or "yuppie" but I sure don't understand the nuance.

Dinky-di is one of many words that mean the same as 'dinkum' in the Australian vernacular. In this context, they are saying that he is a 'genuine Aussie'.
