I can't watch this till I get home (blocked), but isn't "aggressively inarticulate" an oxymoron, like "aggressively passive"? I suppose that's part of the joke.

His ex-gf used to work at the Bowery Poetry Club.I've met him a few times when a friend hosted Karaoke poetry (read a poem--which doesn't have to be yours--and sing) there , but don't know if he'd remember me.
