That is so damn great. Kris Kristofferson is one of my heroes - a guy that not only has great talent but also the sense and kindness to the right thing with it and all of the opportunity that comes with it. He's an endless source of stories and before he even cut his first record he had crammed more into life than most people ever get to. And he's been building on it ever since.

One time I emerged from the entrance to my therapist's building onto the main street of the town where I lived and nearly got bowled over by Kris Kristofferson jogging down the sidewalk. [He was playing a gig in town that night, I learned later.]

I suppose I could have shouted at his retreating back, "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia is my all-time favorite movie!" But there would have been only a split-second to act. And I was still buffaloed by the fact of having nearly been run down by Kris Kristofferson out of absolutely nowhere.

That was awesome. And "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is one of the best songs ever.
