"I've got to find the flaming nipple!" 50 minutes of deleted scenes from Blue Velvet found, to be issued on DVD.
OH. NO. No, Frank, NO!

I rewatched Blue Velvet a couple of weeks ago with a friend, and because we've both seen it many times, we were about to keep up a pretty steady patter of chit-chat and snark during most of the film...

... but not when Frank Booth was on-screen. Then we fell into an uneasy hush.

He really is one of the most electrifying, horrific, over-the-top screen villains of all time. I'm an enthusiast Lynch fan, but I'm not sure I want to see what didn't make the cut.

Sorry, that's "able to," not "about to."

I like the idea of a separate deleted scenes reel as compiled by Lynch versus splicing it back into the original film. Few films really benefit mainly because splicing requires remixing the sound, and the results are rarely satisfying. Blade Runner is one of the few that did benefit.

Anyway, more Frank is always a good thing.

Wow, I haven't seen this in ages. Twenty five years old. Crazy.

I've never seen it. But it's in my Netflix queue.

Watch it with someone you don't love.

Even though it was filmed in my hometown I still haven't seen it. I like films like "Finding Nemo", thank you very much....
