I swear I remember a couple of these from a textbook or a library book I saw as a kid. I remember how much they blew my mind by making me understand why the horizon (on earth) looks they way it does- suddenly I could see it in 3D, and it made sense, just by seeing in these pics how the horizon would look if the earth wasn't a sphere.
