Don't DO that! I need warnings on rodent posts! GAH! Here I thought it was going to be the song. It's not fair to expect Petula Clark and get rats!

I am not opening this. I fear a scene of a rat-maimed human, or at least humans defiled by rats. Nope. . .no way this gets clicked on. I know how you people are.

Aww... ratty.

"rat" was one of Maddie's first words. Because we used to stand on the subway platform and look for them on the tracks.

I wouldn't post anything gruesome, danf... it's just a very sociable rat. :)

But, err, sorry for the freakout, MGL! (Well, mostly sorry... heehee) I do love Petula Clark, though, if that makes you feel any better. It probably doesn't.

Actually, Miko, rats are very clean. They bathe themselves almost as much as cats do. Anyway. Must be a NYC rat because that thing is HUGE. It's at least a third again as big as my biggest rat was.

I always wondered what New York would be like once the rats got aggressively friendly.

We like to watch for rats from our back deck when outside smoking at night or when we're coming home from the bar. There's also train mice in some of the subway stations here. They were my inspiration for getting our mice earlier this year.

I love rodents.

Ah, vermin.

We have outside rats, too. In the winter they raid the bird feeders. One bird feeder is right outside the family room window and makes for great entertainment for the cats and dog. And we noticed this summer, but not previously, they're into the fruit trees stealing apples.

If fashion is cyclical, one day women will again wear giant bows on their asses. || Leftover buttermilk? SORBET!!!
