Anybody looking to join Zediva? I got my invitation to join Zediva six or eight weeks ago, after waiting a couple of months. It has the movies Redbox and Blockbuster have or will have but without having to go to the store for them.

I got an email this morning offering invitations to friends. Here you go, if you want one. No membership fee, just $1.99 per movie, or $1 if you pre-buy 10.
Thanks, I joined!

So... what's the catch? (she asks, after having joined)

It seems awfully cheap compared to Netflix or Amazon or OnDemand.

Well, the selection is pretty small. And if you hit 'pause' while you are watching your movie they take it away from you and put it back on the virtual For Rent shelf. You can re-start it after 45 minutes I think. It's kind of a shock the first time it happens.

It's inexpensive and sounds good. Except that I watch movies at home for the convenience of the pause function. No bathroom breaks? Thanks but no thanks.

Wait -- can I watch it over again, or do I have to rent it again? I have a bit of a sleeping problem.

Yes, you can watch it again and again and again for 14 days. On any computer.

And it was pointed out to me that if you close your browser and re-open it the movie can be re-started right where you left off. My kids are smarter than I am.
