Headaches. The left temple of my head, she is a-killin' me. Drugs have failed. Any good headache hacks out there?
Three thoughts: 1) I know it is drugs, but Excedrin Tension Headache really kills off my headaches. 2) Acupuncture. It actually does work for almost any pain you can name. 3)You may want to consider a call to your doc. Sudden intense headaches are always worth checking out.
And you totally rock, by the way, for sending along that Iron Chef link. I cannot wait for this weekend when I can spend lots of time with it.
Have you tried an ice hat? I mean, putting a bunch of ice in a towel or something and setting it on your head, not an actual product of sorts.
This is freaking genius.
JanetLand, if there's no ice handy, you might try what I used to do at work: fill a sink with the coldest possible tap water and soak your hands in it as long as you can stand. A co-worker introduced me to this idea. I have no idea why it helped, but it often did. (Even if it doesn't actually reduce your pain, it will make your hands into a makeshift cold compress to put on your forehead or the crown of your head.
I also find caffeine (and follow-up with a long drink of water) to be a magic bullet for headaches of all kind. In our family, Coca Cola is the traditional headache remedy of choice.
