Pepito Pérez, Pinco Pallino, Ion Popescu, John Doe. Informal names for unknown or unspecified persons in various countries/regions. (via)
Wow, that is cool. "Juan Perez" seems to be a really common one.

If I'm going to die anonymously, I want to do it where they use Joe Blow. Although the UK's Ronny Arbuckle is appealing - I could claim to be Garfield's owner's (Jon Arbuckle) long lost brother, but for lost Garfield characters, nothing could beat Lyman. But does New Zealand actually use Joe Bloggs? Almost too appropriate for most bloggers. And Malta with Joe Borg? Sounds like somebody was assimilated (resistance IS futile). And I like Jan/Janez Novak in Slovakia/Slovenia, probably because I always hated Robert Novak.

I'm British and had never heard of R Punter (though am familiar with "punter" as a generic name for a customer) or Ronnie Arbuckle...
