Music Videos In the last couple days I've seen some music videos worth sharing.[More:]

The first one might be tough to watch for people who've been in car accidents. It's not exactly graphic in a gory sense, but it does involve a tumbling vehicle and passenger. It's bewildering and moving and the first time I watched it, I cried. From Atlanta, Manchester Orchestra's Simple Math.

The second needs no trigger warning. I love videos in which someone sings along with the song. This one reminded me of the movie Adaptation. From Los Angeles, The Airborne Toxic Event's Sometime Around Midnight.

Both are among the best videos I've ever watched (I keep coming back to them), and I enjoy the music, too.
OMG, that first one is AMAZING. If Hollywood had any smarts, they'd start stealing from music videos and hiring their directors again. That was more moving and more involving than any mainstream movie I've seen in ages. Damn.

There are three or four points in that video where the editing absolutely makes it brilliant. I think the only negative thing about the video is the shots including the band in the cab of the truck- wtf. It almost robs the story, but seriously the video is so good otherwise that those incongruous shots of the band kind of slide by.

Wow, I teared up a little watching that first one.

I wish the music from the second one was paired with the video from the first one, I loved the video and the second song.

I literally can't stop watching the Simple Math video. So many of my buttons being pushed... also, the song's a bit overproduced, but his voice is gorgeous.

I'm glad you like it, BoringPostcards; I keep coming back to it as well. Both of them, actually. The Man Orch one is still bewildering to me, every time, and I still end up with tears in my eyes. In the ABTE video, there are a couple moments, when she interrupts his piano playing and when the door opens and the light hits his face, where the reactions are endearingly real to me.

Here's some more stuff I keep checking out: I got this compilation, called Shangaan Electro, it's uptempo South African dance music, just about every day I find myself wanting to listen to it. Here's a video. There are quite a few more like it.
