Cortex had his wife draw the winner for his raffle. I don't have a wife, but I do have cats, and I talk sweet talk to them all the time, which I figure is pretty much the same thing.

All the entrants names' (I think there were 23) went into a hat.

Then the college kids next door started yelling "DUDE YOU SUCK" over and over and Zuzu got a little distracted -- understandably, if you ask me.

So I tried to regain her attention. But in the end, she was still only interested in the string.

Zuzu always sees through my bullshit eventually, so she finally said "Dude, you suck. What's up with this?"

At that point I went and got another hat. She tried, but couldn't find the string.

In the absence of a string, the damn cat finally picked a winner.

Now, before you go getting all suspicious, full disclosure: Aniola and I happen to live in the same zip code. However, to my knowledge, we've never met. And Zuzu doesn't understand the USPS, so I don't think it was planned on her part.

Aniola, you said in the previous thread that you don't like pickles, but you entered, so I'm assuming you want them. If you don't, let me know and we'll draw another name.

Also, send me an email so that we can arrange delivery.

(And anyone else who really, really wants pickles can have them for the price of postage.)

I have no idea what this was even raffling for, but it has made my night.
