10 for 10, but the cynic in me was half-leaning toward #2 on the last question... I can think of several issues that have had dramatic changes in public opinion polls that the 'news media' has all but ignored, but that's just THEIR lack of civic responsibility...
hmm I misread #8 and got #6 wrong. I wonder about that term federalism, I'm not sure I quite understood it right in terms of American government structure--does federalism mean an emphasis on central government power, or devolved state power, or the balance?
9/10. I missed the Japan one; I guessed it was Japanese immigration (inexplicably) because I thought that American products were doing okay in Japan. Hey, Nike!
