Hmm, after just spending an hour first trying to configure an HP printer to work with my new HP Envy laptop and then having HP's support guy spend another half hour before he got it to work, maybe I should re-consider. On the other hand, this is a kickass laptop but would it have killed them to include all the drivers for their own printers?
Funny to see this today, I just started using my new iPad today, bringing me once again into Mac world. I am typing on it right now, as a matter of fact!
My primary work computer is an HP, though, and probably will be for the foreseeable future, so I guess I'm bi?
Makes you wonder what would happen if they controlled for disposable income, and if they had some objective measurements of "tech savvy," since "it just works" is not the foremost indicator of same.
I was a 'mac' person in college, but as soon as I left, I had no choice but to purchase a PC. Not only were Macs expensive in Brazil, there was absolutely no tech support whatsoever, and software? Back in the pre-internet days of late last century? Fuggedaboutit. I got a PC and it is with a PC that I stayed. Surprisingly, I got a Mac again specifically because we are going BACK to Brazil. The Ipad was an excellent choice for me to continue consuming the paper media I have grown accustomed to consuming. Plus, the two play nice with each other, so it is win-win for me.
I'm pretty much on the fence, although some of those statistics are pretty shaky, in my opinion. The only thing that stops me from dumping a PC and buying a Mac is the price difference, so the analysis pretty closely matches reality.
