I am glad that I read through the new recipe I want to try tonight more carefully and noticed the "Let stand at room temperature for two hours" instruction early enough to be able to do so. What are you glad about?

I'm glad that in less than 3 hours I'm going home. And that for the first time in a long, long time it is actually sunny outside.

We're meeting a BIL and his wife for dinner tonight, for the BIL's birthday. It's my first opportunity to wear the necklace they gave me for MY birthday, a month ago. Happy happy, both the visit and the chance to wear. So pretty. I'm not usually acquisitive about jewelry but this was so sweet and thoughtful.

I'm going to finish fixing a gate tomorrow, eekacat :) I am also glad I found my drill, which was hiding in plain sight in one of the places I looked.

I don't have a gate to fix!

I also am going to leave the office a little early today (like just as soon as I finish typing this and use the bathroom) and my boss won't know because she's in Mexico City and it has been DEAD today.

I'm glad my house is coming together for party tomorrow. I'm glad I'm visiting dear friend in Orlando on Sunday. I'm glad both my kids got a hit tonight -- husband called to inform me from ball field. I'm glad my dog is going to my sister's tomorrow while the party is in progress. She is a lovely, lovely creature but dealing with her and a bunch of kids is not easy.

I'm glad that my parents arranged a secret family reunion tomorrow. My family's undergoing a lot of change this year, and I don't want to be sad about it.

I'm also glad that my great aunt told me about it, because otherwise I was definitely going to show up at my parents' tomorrow unshowered and in pajamas.

A close friend got married this weekend and it was great to be there and such a fun party. There were a ton of people dancing all night and the band played an extra hour and a half for us since no one wanted to leave. It was exactly what my friend had hoped for!
