Good deed gone bad! [More:]
I made another one of those brioche. Actually, two of 'em, so I could give one to the awesome crew who work the aftercare at my daughter's school. They were all really happy to get it, but when I just came home and tried the second one out, I realized it was undercooked! Ew! Sorry aftercare crew!
Is it too late to have a pizza delivered?

Wait, are you joshing me? They probably have tummy aches from eating a big pile of raw dough already ):

It always sucks to find out a good deed turned out wrong. What can you do? I have run in afterward to try to fix things after people have already left and it's a half hearted effort at best. You gotta just roll with it.

Aww, it's the thought that counts. And maybe that one was actually cooked through. I know my oven could undercook one and not the other.

I'm kinda counting on that idea JoanArkam.

I would be charmed, were I one of your aftercare folks, and say A+ for effort either way.

I'm with JoanArkham. My oven would get the first one done, but the second, well, I dunno. It depends on which rack and all that. I doubt you poisoned anyone. Worst case is that they took a look and tossed it in a dumpster.

Hey, at least you made an effort. Kudos for that!

My oven, like JoanArkham's, would very likely cook one loaf all the way through but not the other. In fact, in my oven, that would almost certainly happen!

Also, if the gift loaf sat uncut longer than the not-gift loaf, it had a little longer to solidify the starches, so it might have done some carry-over cooking even after you handed it over.

And anyway, you did a sweet and thoughtful thing!
