I really liked Gene Pitney, and once worked with a woman who was crazy about him, so a bunch of us from the office went to see him in concert. This would have been around mid-1989 or so. He was really, really good.
As an aside, I was astonished to hear Marianne Faithfull say in a radio interview that Gene Pitney was the best fuck she'd ever had and he had the biggest cock she'd ever seen.
