SHAVE THE BEARD! YOU ARE MUCH TO HANDSOME TO LET THAT LITTLE FUZZY PATCH HANG AROUND!
If you don't shave it, I suggest you grow it out and embrace your Viking. Then move to the Pacific northwest and start farming almonds or something.

I had a full, gingery beard until just yesterday. It has getting long and I was veering into yes, organic nut farmer. It looked positively old west in a suit.

Overall, I like it!

Tee-hee organic nut farmer
Also, trim. Love long hair boys but trim for maximum effect. Also another vote for full beard or no beard.

Also a helmet with wings would be appropriate.

I find that what people tell others is often what they want to tell themselves. You told me not to cut my hair.

CUT MY HAIR?!

That should have gone here

Yes, this, this THIS!!!

It can be long and mussy without looking lank or shabby. What you want here is bouncy, insouciant, GLORIOUSLY decadent tresses, and that takes maintenance. So do give it a trim, but definitely don't shorten too much. Also give it a deep condition / hot oil treatment to keep it from looking colour-fried (lest you doubt me, I know whereat I speak; I abused my own hair with high volume peroxide for DECADES).

And embrace your Viking heritage! I am in awe of lovely young men with insouciant tresses. Makes me want to walk up and lovingly run my fingers through their hair, even though I am now a proper middle aged lady and, you know, don't.

Get rid of the beard. It looks like pubes.

Sorry, but it totally does.

Trim.

I am beard neutral.

OMG, Senyar, I just scared my cats by laughing out loud at that..

Yes, long trimmed hair looks best. And I am quite partial to even small amounts of facial hair, but you have a handsome face and don't need the little patch.

Pubic hair is awesome.

Beard. I don't recommend this often, but you totally should go for one.

Cut it. I'm into the pretty boy look, what can I say?

By the way, you do look like a Viking with that crazy eyed-kick your ass expression on your face. But horns and a Ricola style trumpet would really make it a spectacular look. So I guess you could keep it all and get a trumpet and that would be cool too.

Love the hair, grow a beard or go clean shaven.
posted by deborah 08 February | 16:39
Well, it all depends what you want to look like. Want to look like an stereotypical unemployed surfer-dude? No need to do anything. Want to look like a together grown-up? Trim your hair to whatever length/style suits you and lose the bum-fluff.

Either way is fine - I don't mean to put any negativity on either of those outcomes, but choose whichever one suits you best and the way forward is clear.

...I think bum-fluff is something different...
