LOLing here...

We once had a cat that loved tomato sauce. My mom had made a lasagna and set in on the counter for like 10 minutes to cool before slicing it. When she went back into the kitchen, the cat was standing with all four paws solidly in the lasagna, licking up sauce while enjoying nice warm tosies.

That's hilarious, JA! I can imagine Sookie doing that.

The best part of "my cat did smething horrible" stories for me is how smug I get to feel. My Trilby has never done anything like that. If only in part because I never leave food unattended.;-)

Yeah, none of my cats have ever done anything like that. Gaping holes in furniture yes, chicken fat bath and eating lasagna no.

My hedgehog once 'jumped' into a crockpot of BBQ sauce that was sitting in the sink after we made ribs. She loved it.

Ooh, I wish you had a pic of that hedgehog.

Man, I wish I did too. I whisked her into the bath again so quickly, I didn't think to take one. And I say 'again' because she had just come out of the bath about five minutes prior.

Wow. And I thought our beagle was a treat. We can't leave anything close to the edge of the counter. He's tall and can reach the countertops. There's no doubt he would take a chicken-fat bath, tho, if he could drag it down to the floor. I'm going to be more vigilant starting today!
