Gizmodo reviews Samsung Galaxy Tab. Money quote: It's like a tablet drunkenly hooked up with a phone, and then took the fetus swimming in a Superfund cleanup site.
read article. find it an exercise in the author's self-satisfied nippiness more than a review. man that whole network of sites just deserves a thumbs down

You'd think that, considering the bad blood between Gizmodo and Apple, they'd try to find something nice to say about the "first major iPad competition". Well, nobody outside of Boxcar Salvage companies gets more out of trainwrecks than Gawker Media.

But there are two bright spots in that blighted network: the original Lifehacker and the sci-fi-and-related-genres site io9.

Man, Firas, I was thinking the same thing. And it reminds me of a time I wrote a paper like this in college, and the prof returned it to me with the phrase written in large letters across the cover page, "Childish self-indulgence." And that was it. This writer has both never gotten one of those, and also works for Gawker, which is an awful company.

I used to love io9 until their RSS feed went to two-line summaries and most of the content I was seeing was link-baity lists. They went away when I cleaned out Google Reader.

Seriously, it was the single most important paper of my writing career.
