What the heck is the point of it if it's going to tell you that there IS a monster in the room?! That's not helpful at all, little kid-wise.

When one of my son's had repeated nightmares about a giant owl flying out of his closet I stuck a nail through a potato and nailed it to the wall while explaining that this was The Magic Potato (All rights reserved). It worked. It stayed and shrivelled on the wall for about a year and a half.
