Can I suggest a metachat feature? →[More:]Sometimes there is just a really great metachat thread that I'd love to keep with recipes or book suggestions. I don't always have something to add to link it to my account, and scrolling through my profile is clunky. Is it too difficult to have a kind of favorite or keep feature? Was just wondering aloud if it was too difficult to add? I've been keeping some on my Twitter but that's a bit clunky too. Wizards of meca, can this be done? Or does this exist and I've missed the fun?

That's a good suggestion about saving the thread in your profile. I think gomichild and chrismear, our technomancers, could give us a sense of how possible this is; but in general, I know the platform we have isn't super flexible, so we might need to think of some other solutions like gaspode's.

Yeah um right now not much is possible I'm afraid. We have been discussing where things are going to go technically in the future and at a later date asking members for wish list items.

Might be worth starting a wiki page for recipes and book titles at this point that can be added to.

That's another great idea for those commonly-searched things. Please, have at the wiki - once you've logged in for the first time, you're welcome to edit any new pages.

Why not store the link to the thread as a bookmark in your browser or in delicious, google bookmarks or something similar?

You know that when you log in to the wiki for the first time, it creates a user page for you, right? You can use that page to list anything you want, pretty much. Any time you go to the wiki, as long as you're logged in, you'll have a link to your userpage right in the top right hand corner of the window.
