Our new library is spectacular! [More:]
The Indianapolis Public Library's Central Library was reopened in 2007, with the construction of a spectacular glass atrium connecting what had been the old main part off the library to a new, 6-story addition that is not at all short of Wow! factor. I regret it has taken me this long to get down there to check it out.
It's beautiful.

I just wanted to make this connection:

Atrium and the Pacific Science Center

It was the first thing I thought of.

Stunning... but does it have its own hat?

So unfair. This is ours. It is fine outside but grim and hard to navigate inside. It also smells like urine. Fortunately, there are unexciting but sensible branches all around the city.

I love the Seattle Library so much. Granted, I'm usually there for the free typing space and I rarely look for books. But the boy managed alright.
