I think I got diabetes just thinking about a life-sized gingerbread house that uses 517lbs of royal icing. Now I'm imagining what could go wrong with it - like your pipes burst and the whole house is flooded with melted gingerbread sugary goo. Blech.

That's awesome but it's not worth $15,000. That's just obnoxious. I'm not even sure why this is getting so much play. Hotels and schools and festivals do life size gingerbread houses a lot. I guess it's the offering it as a ready-made, don't-just-admire-me,buy-me that is novel.
