Easy as 1-2-3 photo posting from Flickr

This assumes you are using the new Flickr photo page (as everyone should be by now):

Above: Use the Share This menu, and go down and select Grab the HTML/BBCode.

≡ Click to see image ≡

Above: Use the Sizes dropdown to select the size you want your photo to appear. Here, I have selected Medium 640

≡ Click to see image ≡

Above: Copy the code from the window.

Now, all that's left is to Paste the code from the above into your post. Easy Peasy!

Dang that's easier than the old way! I always ended up viewing the page source to try to figure out what part of the flickr url other people had edited out.

Yes, but Flickr has changed and we no longer need to use a strange work-around to post Flickr pictures here.

So when did this break? Is it a Flickr thing or a MeCha issue? What's the work around?

The flickr thing has been broken for a while. The fix is shown in this thread.
