Seen the new anti-net-neutrality ads? So, I was watching Bourdain's 100th episode last night, and it seemed that every other commercial break was filled with these very slick, industry-funded ads against net-neutrality legislation. Has anyone else seen these? Real hard-core "private industry built the Internet" stuff.
Well, yeah! It would be socialism!

At least we know the internet was born in this country.

Haven't seen one yet.

"private industry built the Internet"; cute. Like a lot of things government money pays for the research and to establish the infrastructure that allows for private money to come in and make a profit and then the private money bristles at the thought of any public oversight.

Private industry ^shamelessly latched onto the teat of government largesse and now have profited to the point where they now feel entitled to shamelessly screw the users for whom the government built the Internet.

I haven't seen those, but here in Alabama there have been a lot of ads lately featuring drawling Southerners talking about how bad raising taxes on energy companies would be for the economy. It's filmed to look like a local TV spot, but then again the fine print says it's funded by the American Petroleum Institute.
