Couch + Alcohol + Movies

That's my plan for tonight, at least. I've had my fill of human contact for the week. I need to hide in my cave for a bit.

I use that kind of time to curl up with a good book.

Long bath, little organization-y project, popcorn, movie, wine.

Kill Bill marathon + alcohol + facial/manicure/pedicure/hair thing. This is usually after a day of cleaning up after last week and getting ready for this week. If I'm KB'd out I'll stream some comedy from Netflix.

If I'm burned out from that I start rearranging whatever room seems to need it the most.

Sometimes if they're up for it I'll have a marathon phone call with a friend or relative I haven't chatted with for a while.

Sometimes it's all of the above.

A really good fallback is some trashy novel or magazine, hanging out at a bookstore and drinking their coffee.

Attempt at cleaning house

After that, attempt at cleaning me - prefer long bath with movie or TV show on laptop so I may sit in scalding hot water with green gunk on my face and very slowly shave my legs and scrub my feet.

Then tea. Big cup of tea, cat on belly, bathrobe and horror films.

Yeah, I LIKE being alone.

Empty house? Crank up the guitar amp!

My usual thing - on the pc. Or if that's gotten boring I'll watch movies. If movies don't appeal, I'll read whatever book I'm reading.

Read a book, because it's the only time I can do so without the pressure to 'talk to me' all the time. Also, VERY LOUD music.

Glass or 3 of wine, snacks, IRC, TV.

Oh hang on, that's how I spend just about *every* night.

Read. Read read read. Today I'm actually working on a baby blanket and watching Doctor Who, interspersed with Random Internet Time to stretch my hands a bit. Suppose I ought to eat eventually. Meh.

A Saturday all to myself would be something so amazing I can hardly imagine what I'd do with it. I'd probably stay home, and bake something sweet, sit outside in the back yard and watch the river go by, call my sister and my brother, and then sit outside a little more. And it would go by so fast and it would be over too soon.

I like to put on a movie and lay in bed and get all cozy and nap on and off.

I really like it when mr alto is out for the evening (much as I love him, I like evenings on my own as well). I usually put some music on that I know he doesn't like, and read a book while snuggled with the cat. Sometimes I'll go see a film on my own, which is one of my top favourite things to do. Not exciting but I like it.
