Deadwood Mr. gaspode and I just finished watching S2 of Deadwood. We've really enjoyed watching it, but have heard that S3 is not so good. Is it worth watching or should we just consider it done at the end of S2?
WATCH IT. Yes, it ends sort of oddly. But, I still feel like it's completely and utterly watchable. Of course, I LOVE that show.

I lost interested after the second season. IT was still good but, to me, not as worth the time. WIth the first two seasons, you are kind of stunned by the aesthetic vision they produced, and carried on by the character development. I thought the characters faltered (though the storylines were OK) in the 3rd, and the novelty of the world they made had worn off some.

They should have kept Wild Bill around much longer.

Definitely worth watching. It gets more disturbing, for sure. But interesting. What a great show. I'm always envious of anyone who hasn't seen it yet, knowing the treat they have ahead of them. That, and the Wired and Homicide. Even when shows like that falter a little, they're still so great (I always say one is forgiving of one's favorites). Having seen the first two seasons, how could you resist? Enjoy.

I liked the third season the best. I also hated the final episode. Mostly because it's a cliff hanger and you know there will be no more shows. But this is a bit like ending the Titanic movie after the sex scene. You pretty much know how things work out.
