A little nuts about my Australian Shepherd so I loved this story of loss and recovery.

Also, here are some pictures of Aussies. AWWWWW, amirite?
Aww, I love aussies and even more, ACDs.

Training one's dog to not startle at loud noises is part of gun dog training and totally doable for any breed; while I have my hair-tearing frustrations at times with our rambunctious dog, I gotta say that it's nice he never freaks out over fireworks (he just looks up at the sky and patiently waits for a dead duck to fall out of it).

Aussies are one of the few breeds that can still be cute as adults.

All aussies are actually named Wiggle Butt. Anything else is more of a middle name, adopted for convenience.

Also, I wish to post a picture of my own wee lad here.

Oh, wee lad of Wolf Dog is cute!

Actually, we have a different name for my Aussie than Wriggle Butt -- Tater Tot Tail. But yeah, the other name we use is more of a middle name . . .

My first dog was an Australian shepherd. I still get misty-eyed thinking about him .....
