Non-Cute Songs About Fairy Tales? Any ideas on songs about Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and the like that aren't children-focused? I'm looking for rockin' over all, but will take what I can get.

Cinderella Undercover by Oingo Boingo was big amongst my friend in high school. Couple live versions up at YouTube.

And you might try 12 Tales--all the goth, ethereal usual suspects doing fairy tale inspired songs. Haven't heard and it's out-of-print, but I'm sure you can find it used or whatever.

"Bullet" by Mason Jennings mentions Cinderella ("You ain't Cinderella, so don't forget your shoes, I've never been as lonely as when I was with you"), though it's fairy-tale free other than that.

I know no songs that fit, but this thread reminds me of the movie Freeway, disturbing with allusions to Little Red Riding Hood.
