Machete! Robert Rodriguez actually made the movie seen as a fake trailer in Grindhouse. Out in Sept. and I must see it.

The official trailer for the finished product looks less grindhouse. Too polished. The odd part is the credits have "Introducing Don Johnson" and is that Don Johnson.

Here's the original fake grindhouse trailer. My favorite part was when Machete says "Yes, bro...I mean padre" to Cheech Marin.. and padre Cheech saying "God has mercy I don't" and literally blows the bad guy's head off. That announcer voiceover is awesome. I want him to record my outgoing voicemail message.

I guess I hope Rodriguez sticks closer to the original grit of the fake movie. Perhaps there's a red band trailer coming that will have the same feel.
