Party 24 July in Vermont Turtlegirl and I are having our annual bash and wanted to extend an invite to MetaChatizens who may be interested.

The party will be an all-day affair (2pm-?) to let people drift by when it is convenient to them, but it also helps us as we have limited parking. Out-of towners are welcome to pitch a tent or to crash on the floor on a first-come, first sleep basis. I can provide a list of somewhat local lodging options if need be.

We'll have a log (small keg) of local beer and the grill out. Locals will probably bring side dishes, because that's just what Vermonters do.

If you are interested in attending:
1) email me (rickscully on the google) and I will send you directions
2) NO PETS. Sorry. With the llamas we can't have dogs around.
3) Please consider carpooling if you can.
4) Bring any acoustic instruments you can!

Looks like fun. And we'll be oh-so-close (visiting Albany, NY, from Texas)! But... our plate is already pretty full, what with celebrating my in-laws 50th and such.

I notice on Facebook that jonathanstrange is attending! I wonder if she's planning on using the hire car she acquired after her disastrous day yesterday to get there?

dg, well js is driving, & I'll help navigate, so front passenger seat for me! Ro, gomi & EM are in the back seat, which leaves you in either the boot, the roof rack or the glove compartment.

I just noticed the car has a usb stick thingamabob which PLAYS MP3s.

They are prising this car from my COLD DEAD HANDS.

Dear js: please don't make jokes about cars & prising you & your dead hands out of said cars, the very thought makes me very sad. Anyway, there are doodads that make your iphone music emanate from the car radio. We'll pick one up on the way while we continue our roadtrip^Wderail.
