keyboard shortcut? In Word, is there a keyboard shortcut to get rid of a dialog box - any dialog box - that popped up by mistake? (happens to me a lot when I'm trying to use another keyboard shortcut and hit the wrong key.)

I think Esc works for pretty much any dialog box. I'll go test!

Yup, I think the Escape key is what you're looking for.

ooh cool!! I probably could have used this countless other times as well, instead of using the mouse to click on Cancel.

Yeah, Esc is a good friend of mine. I keep thinking it'll run off with my BEST FRIEND, the backspace key, but so far, they are both still sticking around. WHEW.

I dunno - I'm sure they were both plotting something with the Ctrl and Z keys recently. I'd keep an eye on them if I were you.
