The finest stereo receiver the world has ever known. [More:]That $700 price tag is $2,800 in today's money, by the way.
Well, sure, there were no Apple products, computers, HDTVs, microwave ovens, CD players, DVD players or any of that yet. We had to spend our money on something.

I am fairly certain we had that receiver or one an awful lot like it in my house. It was, indeed, wonderful.

We had one as well, although they might have all looked very similar back then.

I have a box of old 60s-80s magazines. Maybe I can sell them on ebay a page at a time like that?

I'm using an SX-890 right now. It was my dad's. I have no idea how old it is. It's basically my only heirloom.

Ha! My son still has my old SA-6500!

I have an SX-750 from an uncle. It's beautiful, but needs help (scratchy controls, a channel fades out).
