1. I'm moving to the Netherlands at the end of the summer and it will be the first time that I live outside of the Eastern Time Zone.
2. My username was given to me from users of an IRC channel I frequented in the late 90s. The name has stuck as a userid for much of the web & also has become what some people call me in real life.
3. I sometimes housesit a Bernese mountain dog and a cat who once caused me to lock myself in a bathroom in defense from her teeth & claws. Not my proudest moment.
4. I have recently become friends with a lot of people in my town through the intersection of craft beer and Twitter.
5. I'm surprised I haven't given myself food poisoning in the past 6 years of cooking for myself.
6. My work often involves sitting in an underground lab for 8 hours or so. There's no cell service here, but there's wireless internet.
7. My transmission once burned out in Pennsylvania. The Firestone I took it to suggested that I subsequently have it towed to a particular transmission shop. Another customer noted that I could not do that, because that shop was under two feet of water.
8. The only time that I play video games is with a subset of my college friends.
9. I wish I knew more math.
10. I like to make macaroni and cheese from scratch once a week.
