Pandora’s Briefcase: in the months before the invasion of Sicily, British spies fooled German spies with a caper inspired by a detective novel.

Double blind: the untold story of how British intelligence infiltrated and undermined the IRA.

More recently, new documents reveal truth on NATO's 'most damaging' spy.
Interesting stories. Thanks.

Neal Stephenson totally worked that first story into the WWII portion of Cryptonomicon.

Hmm, second time in about 48 hours I've referenced that book here.

I remember seeing The Man Who Never Was several years ago. Pretty average black-and-white war film but worth a once over.
