I find it mind boggling that there is a major tornado outbreak underway with reports of multiple tornadoes on the ground and confirmed fatalities and TWC is showing a movie.
Channel Mission Creep... no cable tv channel is allowed to do anything related to its name once it has been broadcasting for more than 10 years...
Music Television (MTV), The Learning Channel (TLC), Headline News (HLN), Arts & Entertainment (A&E), Video Hits (VH1), Country Music Television (CMT), with Cartoon Network and The History Channel on the way. Some, like TechTV, CourtTV and The Nashville Network were at least honest enough to change their names (see: SciFi SyFy). American Movie Classics has dropped the Classics, TV Guide Channel is losing the Guide, and some channels never even tried to live up to their names... Fox News?
For some reason, cable channels are never happy with the niche that they own and decide to branch out into stupid mainstream programming and compete with everyone else. I'm really not sure why we keep paying for cable when it's mostly just for Comedy Central and BBC America.
