University of Arizona President Shelton: "We have already begun to feel an impact from SB1070. The families of a number of out-of-state students (to date all of them honors students) have told us that they are changing their plans and will be sending their children to universities in other states. This should sadden anyone who cares about attracting the best and brightest students to Arizona."
H-1B workers in Arizona that can't immediately prove they're working in the U.S. legally may find themselves detained by police or even jailed under the state's new immigration law. (via)

This could get ugly, or get re-written, quickly. I'm hoping for the latter, but wouldn't be surprised by the former.

Good. It's interesting watching the different people in AZ who see this law as the stupid racist untenable thing that it is try to gently push back with totally reasonable stuff to try to influence opinions.
