I'd love to be stranded in San Francisco, or indeed anywhere pleasant as long as I had no way of doing work. As it is, I'm at home in the UK with no plans to go anywhere.

Go to the sake factory in Berkeley! Go to the conservatory in Golden Gate Park! Go eat sushi or burritos and go to Chinatown and Amoeba Records! If you haven't done so already.

That crazy Icelandic volcano is really messing with folks. I drove some friends down to Toronto last Thursday so they could start their second European tour, only to have them head home, hoping against all reason, that they'll be able to try again on Wednesday. It's pretty stressful, but what can you do? It just sucks for them, they've managed to make room in life for a 31 day tour of Europe and now...who knows.

Of course, I think there are people in much more dire straits, unable to get home, etc. Crazy ol' volcanoes!

I'm at Columbus airport right now, waiting for my flight back to NYC. I'm due to fly home on Thursday night, and am hoping there will be a flight then. If not, then I'll be begging my NY bunny friends for a couch to sleep on.

Thanks all! They've rebooked us on a theoretical flight leaving Thursday. Problem is that's via Minneapolis not direct, would much rather be stuck here! (Weather, lots of stuff to do and I know a few people here).

Hmmm.... What's the HuSi site all about? Looked like some interesting conversations.

Hard to say what's HuSi all about... it kind of grew organically from a group of people, mostly techies, who knew each other from other sites. It ended up as mostly a diary/blog site since nobody bothered using the other sections.

I like it, but it's a lot more lightly moderated than Metachat or Metafilter and has the usual set of cryptic memes and traditions...
