Ether (verb/noun): rhetorical knockout.
         (derived from the Nas song "Ether")
  • "Cicero ethered Catiline in 63 BC"
  • "Anthony Lane laid that ether on the movie"
  • "David Foster Wallace's ethering of Updike was misguided"
Renegade (verb/noun): extremely upset/outshine in collaboration
         (derived from the Jay-Z/Eminem song "Renegade"):
  • "Angelina Jolie renegaded Girl, Interrupted"
  • Obama pulled a renegade at the 2004 DNC Convention
  • "The opening act renegaded the headliner"
