April Fool's Day on the web So, anyone found any good April Fool's stuff online yet? [More:]
I haven't! Where's Google's joke? It's 6:30 a.m. in western Canada. Who's got the jokes? List 'em here, for the delight of all!
JHU has a good one: http://webapps.jhu.edu/jhuniverse/featured/naming_announcement_april01/

Although the picture on the front page is the best, but the site is loading WICKED slow right now.

Damn it. Google's just Google for me. I have done the notice that printers are now voice-activated. Tee-hee!

I'm kind of embarrassed to ask, but is Mefi doing anything this year? I'm usually a little too slow or don't keep my browser window open long enough to catch on . . .

Wikipedia is pretty good. :)

I don't expect most of you to get this, but pitpass.com, IMHO the best F1 news site, reported that Max Mosley was being appointed as F1 Commissioner. It was so well written, they had to update the story to make it more obvious that it was a joke.

YouTube's new TEXTp toggle is pretty fancy.

TechCrunch has a pretty extensive list (found via MeFi).

thinkgeek.com is always the best.
Once an april fools day fake-item became, due to popular demand, a real item.

Starbucks announced 2 new coffee sizes, the Plenta (bucket sized) and the Micra (teeny).

Our NPR station did a story abut a local pizza chain that had come up with a way to substitute orange puree for tomato sauce, due to a shortage of tomatoes. It was really convincing (interviews, customer reactions, etc etc) and I totally bought it until the end when they tipped it off by saying you should always "remember the date" when dealing with produce. Heh.

The prescription windscreen was pretty good — they spent a good amount of time putting it together. That was probably my favourite.

I also liked HTML5 Doctor's NSFW tag article.

Somebody told me she posted a picture of an ultrasound of a baby on Facebook, with her name on the photo to make it look official. She said a lot of people bought it, including her mother's neighbor, who printed a copy out and showed it to her mom.
