I'd be all for you Amerks naming your mountainous national debt after Reagan, since it was Reagan who was responsible for it first getting out of hand. A real mountain? Just because it has a name that means "devil"? Not so much.
Arthur Mijares[...]believes, as a devout Christian, that naming a peak of such beauty and importance after the devil -- even in Spanish -- is "derogatory, pejorative, offensive, obscene, blasphemous and profane."
That's mighty big talk from a guy whose last name is the Spanish word for "pickles"!*
I live near Diablo Canyon, which didn't get its name changed when PG&E built a nuclear power plant there, but since it has successfully run for 25 years without turning into a pit of Hell fire (which is why I moved here; if it hadn't gone boom after 20+ years, the odds were in my favor), it has not lived up to its name.
Note: Diablo Canyon is about 250 miles away from Mt. Diablo... there is a community called Diablo close to the mountain, and a Mount Diablo Unified School District, where "we take pride in embracing an energy and commitment to learning that’s truly unique." BWAHAHAHAHA!
