Doesn't the cat look egregiously photoshopped into this photo? The image is for a CSM article about E-Readers. Cat: photoshopped or not? →[More:]

Well, the person the cat is sitting on does have cat hair all over her pant legs. On the other hand, if it was any of the cats I live with, the head of the cat would be between my face and the book.

Yes, I agree: The angle of the light hitting the cat doesn't seem to match the rest of the photo, and the edge around the knees seems unnaturally crisp.

Although maybe not; I was taking photos around town the other day....

Yeah, it's not just the cat, I think the whole photo looks funny. The arms and fingers seem to be layered onto the background torsos. It's altogether weird. The cat actually looks more natural to me than the arms and hands of the leftmost woman.

I looked at it with gamma and other jiggery pokery and I think it's a real photo. Because of the pixels and stuff.

Among other things I don't think a photoshop would have had the cat's tail laid so nicely across the other woman's legs. What would be the point?
