After looking at the picture, my first thought was "because they've mastered American barbecue?" That'd be reason enough. But now that I know it's duck, it still looks delish.

Also, I enjoy knowing of the existence of a Flickr group indicated by this comment:

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Roast Duck Beijing Duck Peking Duck, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

I've never had Peking duck.

I eat duck at just about every opportunity.

I will give you one argument for Prague:

Honey-pepper roasted pork. A huge slab of it. And a pitcher of subsidized Pilsner for like 50 cents.

we live near a restaurant that does the best Peking duck I have ever tasted. Actually, all their food is amazing. You have to book in for chinese NY months in advance, and its' just a standard priced regular restaurant.

Now I want Peking duck.
