Last night I was walking out of the gym and a woman said, "It's so cold! And you don't have a coat!" And I said, "It's okay, my sweat will keep me warm." Meaning, of course, that I was warm from my workout, but not actually making any sense. We continued to walk in the same direction to our respective cars, and the whole long walk I wondered just how stupid this stranger thought I was.

I spent the morning reading the stuff that was interesting instead of the stuff that relevant to helping me get a better grade on the final.

I made a trip to the library today specifically to return a DVD. Guess what I forgot to take with me to the library?

On the plus side, I checked out The Daily Coyote book.

Just ate half a loaf of my best friend's totally awesome homemade potica. Couldn't help it. It was just sitting there, waiting.

Not today, not yesterday, but a few days ago, I was doing a small editing job where I had to pick the best of two translations for a bunch of phrases and give an explanation as to why I chose that particular one or why I edited it... Anyway, it went all great, except the very last sentence, where I had detailed the changes I made and why...except I had somehow left out the actual changes I had made, and missed this again when I checked if everything was OK. Boy did I feel stupid when I found out about this.

I've started taking only cash with me to do shopping, and I try to keep count of what I'm buying as I go.

But still, I went over the amount I had and had to put things back, which just embarrasses the hell out of me.

Then in the parking lot I put my hand in my pocket and discovered the emergency money I'd put there just for that reason.
