I'm Only 20 Years Late - I heard this song for the first time today. I'm probably *ahem* tragically unhip because I like love it, but there it is.
"This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions." So, what is it?

deborah, take a look at this. An Al Purdy poem performed by Gord Downie.

I think they are still together.

Thanks, arse. I like the way it circled around on itself.

The Tragically Hip...man, I hated that band, only for its name. THEN I liked them a lot for a couple years. THEN I hated them for their masses of rabid fans. Actually, well, hate is way too strong.

Still, dumb name. Bobcaygeon sure is a purty song though.

I've never heard of the song or the band.

I was actually really hoping this was a Rickroll.

Janetland, despite being pretty gigantically popular in Canada, they never really made a dent in the US. I remember hearing that they'd be playing bars in Buffalo a couple nights after playing a huge venue in Toronto.

Actually they are huge in the rust belt. Their biggest shows are usually in Detroit, Cleveland, etc. They recorded their live album at the Cobo in Detroit.

Ah well, then. I didn't know that!

deborah. Go here, for all your tragic audio/video needs.

Fully Completely is their best album, in my opinion. Enjoy!

I guess they're kinda like Jann Arden. No one in the States has heard of her. She's a great singer-songwriter and it's too bad she can't seem to get a larger audience.

I don't know, I've seen them in Buffalo a few times and it has always been at the same arena where the Sabres play. And this is going back some years, I think I saw them for the first time in the mid 90s when I was in high school, and that was at the Aud in Buffalo (which was, iirc, torn down my junior year and replaced with the HSBC arena= I've seen them there, too).
