Bella Swan actress (Twilight) to play Joan Jett, Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie in upcoming Runaways movie. Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna are executive producers. This could be good.

Although I would understand if they downplay Joan's and Cherie's relationship, I cannot imagine even Joan skirting Kim Fowley's abuse of the girls, Cherie and Jacky (Robin) especially.
