Cold, Wet And Miserable: For Four Days: Anyone else on the East Coast spending the day staring out the window and sighing?
and look! Fog! This is perfect murder-by-vampire weather I tell you what.

It is depressing out. I will venture into the unknown in about 2 hours for dinner and a friend's birthday party. Maybe I'll bring some garlic with me just in case.

Yeah, it's a good day for watching early 80's pro wrestling clips and eating curly fries.

THANK YOU SUNLIGHT, I DIDN'T NEED YOU TODAY, GO MAY LEAVE EARLY.

Curly fries sound damned good right about now.

I'm a little farther south, and we had it Tuesday through Friday. Thoroughly rotten. But it was beautiful today, so hopefully that will be headed your way soon.

Yeah, it was nasty down here on Tuesday-Wednesday, but now it's warm and incredibly sunny. Hopefully that'll move up the coast toward the northeast!

Was meh in Tokyo too but today the sun is shining so we are off to the park to see the animals!

Slippery slides may also be involved....

(It was sunny and warm in Toronto.)

No. I don't stare out the window when it's icky and grey because it makes me sigh.
It's supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow. Wooo! And clear for the rest of the week. Wooo wooo!
posted by moonshine 14 November | 18:11
Ugh, it's been making me want to stay in bed, which is a good thing at least because that's what I'm supposed to have done this week.

I've also been having a serious need for nesting. More pillows! More blankets! More sweaters!

Weird, sunny and warm here in western pa today. Not often that we can brag about the weather.

It is icky, grey, and snowshower drizzle in Colorado. Well; this means Gore-tex, ride bike four miles, stop; drink beer, use free internet and cover under balcony in nearby office park, and think man; tomorrow all this moisture freeezes. Fractional quantities of sleet on roads, that really sucks.

"Inclimate weather is the ally of the prepared". W.L. Gore.

I'm also hoping the local wildlife appreciates the nut shell debris, the broccoli stump, the fried chicken bones and fat, garlic pieces, bannananana peel, and pear core.

Actual conversations had today with my BF.

"Whatya want for dinner?"

"A bottle of whiskey and some Valium"

"whatya want to watch tonight?"

"Nothing. New. Nothing made after 1984."

I think I'll just go play Earthbound for the 300th time until I pass out and can start a Brand New Day.

bannananana peel

this is now the accepted English spelling you guys.

Cold and dreary here in the Bay Area. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and I hope it is so I can go hiking.
posted by special-k 14 November | 19:05
Guys, your sunshine is here and you can have it all back any time. Forecast is for the high 30's all week with 41 likely on Friday. If you want me, I'll be in the freezer.

dare I say it, has some foul and wretched brigand gone and STOLEN MY SUNSHINE?!?!?!?!?!?!
posted by The Whelk 14 November | 19:18
It's so cold today here in the Bay (hi special-k!). I was outside for a few hours in three cotton layers and was shivering my butt off. (My California habit of wearing flipflops everywhere might have had something to do with this.) Good photography weather, though.
posted by unsurprising 14 November | 20:17
oops, that'd be me, whelk. it's been hot hot hot here all week. Tooooo hot. Want rain, plz.
posted by jonathanstrange 14 November | 20:40
heh, unsurprising. I still wore flip flops anyway.
posted by special-k 14 November | 21:02
It's the same here on the Wet Coast plus hail.

It was glorious in Louisiana today. I took the family to the Renaissance Festival.

There was a "chance of drizzle" yesterday that didn't pan out. Just a few clouds.

Today was sunny and nice as it should be.

I spent the day looking out the window, sighing AND listening to James Taylor's Greatest Hits.

Yes, the weather is *that* shitty around here.
posted by jason's_planet 14 November | 22:22
It's been sunny and warm and lovely here for the past week.
posted by arse_hat 14 November | 23:49
Agreed, ugh.

we're on track for a foot of snow here in Boulder. I was riding my happy arse around innit on the bike earlier too :P

warm toasty fire, a little Balvenie, and just waiting for the load in the dryer to finish before I turn in for the evening. Cheers!

I went to the Shake Shack and sat around eating cheeseburgers in the rain. It's not THAT bad! (today I'm inside stressing out over a talk I'm giving tomorrow, which is why I'm in NYC in the first place)
posted by jessamyn 15 November | 11:25
IT WAS KINDA NICA TODAY MOTHERFUCKERS!

(so of course I went to the movies)
